How to set up remote change of IP address through iProxy.online?

How does iProxy change the IP address on your Android device?

By toggling Airplane mode, with the device being connected to the mobile Internet via a SIM card. After switching Airplane mode back off, the mobile operator issues the device a new IP address.

Please note: if the device is connected to Wi-Fi and you toggle on Airplane mode, then your Wi-Fi’s IP won’t change. Changing the IP address works only when the device has mobile Internet.

How does iProxy technically manage to remotely toggle airplane mode on a phone?

1. Option 1 for non-rooted devices: through the Digital Assistant.
2. Option 2 for non-rooted devices: using a clicker in the Macrodroid app.

Setting up remote IP address change on non-rooted devices via Digital Assistant.

You are most likely to have a regular non-rooted Android device. We recommend changing your IP address with the help of your Digital Assistant - the most convenient and simple way to set up Airplane mode toggling.

• Log into iProxy
• Click the three dots in the top right
• Click “Change IP w/o ROOT”
• Click “Open Digital Assistant”
• Choose iProxy as the assistant by default
• Go back to the iProxy app
• You’ll see a big blue “Change IP” button - this means that the iProxy app acquired the Digital Assistant rights
• Click “Change IP” and you’ll see your phone go into and out of Airplane mode
• Setup complete

Please note that if you have previously installed Macrodroid, then in the Connection settings you need to delete the link if you want to change the IP via Macrodroid.

Please note that after rebooting (turning on/off) the device, the Digital Assistant may crash.

To understand that your app no longer “sees” the VA, launch iProxy and check whether there’s a blue “Change IP” button.

If there’s no “Change IP” button, then to “revive” the VA, you’ll need to reconnect iProxy to the VA and then everything’ll work like it should.

If the method of changing the IP address through the VA didn’t suit you, then try toggling Airplane mode through a clicker.

• Turn on the screen

On rooted devices, you need to grant the iProxy app “Superuser” rights. This allows iProxy to toggle Airplane mode remotely. Read more about root rights in our article.

The following mobile operators do not change IP addresses after Airplane mode is toggled:

• The Life mobile operator - Belorus
• The Active mobile operator - Kazakhstan.
• The Sunrise mobile operator - Switzerland.

Some mobile operators of Kazakhstan (Tele2, Altel), as well as Tele2 in Latvia and Tele2 in Estonia, change the IP address if the phone is in airplane mode for more than 30 seconds.
